Located in the South of
Luzon is one of the best kept secrets in the Philippines. The amazing,
gentle giants of Donsol.
From February to June each
year Whale Sharks gather to feed on the rich, plankton-filled waters of
Donsol, Sorsogon. It represents the best opportunity in the world to
swim or snorkel with Whale Sharks. On average we have been see 12 sharks
a day, with the most whale shark interactions being 26 in one day! We have put together some
fully inclusive tours for groups of 6 or more.
We are the only company
running guided tours that start in Manila. Our guide are all experienced
naturalists and they will meet you a the hotel in Manila and accompany
you for the whole tour. Don't worry about anything - it is all taken
care of !
 Our
tour also includes round trip domestic airfares. It is possible to drive
to Donsol from Manila - but after 11 hours in a dusty an you'll be in no
condition to do anything. We fly to Legaspi - home to Mayon Volcano. A
near perfect cone it is one the most beautiful volcanoes in the world -
as it is right next to the airport you'll have plenty of chance to take
some great photos.

Itinerary
Our standard tour
starts at the airport and finishes in Manila on a Sunday. It is easy for
us to arrange Manila transfers and hotel accommodation for those that
want it. For groups of six or more we can also change the itinerary to
suit your needs. A popular choice is to add a week of diving in Puerto
Galera, either before or after Donsol. All transfers are taken care of -
all you have to do is dive and enjoy the fun!
- Day One transfer to
airport for 0700 flight to Legaspi
- Arrive Legaspi and land
transfer to Donsol (1 hour)
- Lunch at Resort and

- Afternoon whale shark

2008
Dates are flexible and we are happy to make additional dates for
groups of six people or more. Our tours miss the busy Easter
period, when there are more boats than sharks. You will need to arrive in Manila one day before
the scheduled start of the tour - we can of course make all Manila
arrangements, including private airport transfers and the Manila hotel.

would like us to can arrange a night in a Manila hotel as well as
transfer to the airport on the first morning (about P1250 per person
twin share).
- PADI Whale Shark
Awareness distinctive specialty - includes the opportunity to record
the whale sharks for conservation purposes and includes
certification and instruction - P2500. This specialty can be counted
towards the PADI Master Diver rating
- Convert one day of whale
shark watching to diving. Two dives with tanks weights boat and guide.
Subject to weather this will be to the famous Manta Bowl on Ticao
Island. Please enquire for rates
- Drinks, single
supplement (P2550)), basic snorkeling gear (P300 a day), airline fuel

Insurance
We highly recommend that everyone carries full travel insurance
which covers for snorkeling activities.
 Accommodation
Donsol continues to wow us with close encounters of the
whale shark kind. On land, accommodation is in clean, local
style resorts. Our favorite is Woodland Resort as it has the
best food. Rooms are air-conditioned, with two beds (a double and a single) and cold shower. The resort is directly on the beach and
gets excellent sunsets. Meals are taken in the restaurant or
sitting out on the beach. Like all resorts in the area there are
no TVs or telephones on the room, so there is plenty of
opportunity to relax
Donsol is a quiet, rural community. The Tourist center
and resorts are located out of town, amongst rice fields. The
town of Donsol has a central market - good for sea food
that you can have grilled on the beach. Other attractions include a firefly tour at
night down the Donsol river. This is well worth doing. The
fireflies congregate on single trees and flash on and off in
unison - a great experience. Tours start at about 1830 and last
for about 2 hours .Let us know if you'd like us to
